Spoiler ahead..(if u are watching this play on Sunday)

Managed to catch this play! Truely enjoyed the entire show even though the whole setting is just focusing on one scene (or rather 4..since its suppose to be 4 hotel rooms)..

A scene involving a man (acting by 4 different guys though) who attempts to make ammends..only to find out later that perhaps his true intentions of meeting his exs were to reconfirm his decision of him marrying the right one…

-

As the play goes..it brought out many aspects of emotional scars.. how a guy could hurt 4 very different girls in 4 very different scenerios:

Girl A

High school sweetheart…how a girl is tormented by rumours she heard and kept wanting to know who he dumped her for and brought to for the prom…all she ever wanted to know was a name….

Girl B

A younger girl whoese 1st kiss was stolen and learned about her sexuality and grew up faster then the rest… her yearning towards her bro’s good fren…

GIrl C

An elder married women who was having an affair with this guy..and had to become stronger and relationship between her and her husband grew when she was found out… a very strong character who was obviously bittered about the entire ending of the guy running away…and wanting to hurt him back the way he did to her…

Girl D

A LA girl…who in appearance treats the entire sega very lightly..yet when dig deeper always wanted to know  if there was anything between him and her twin….Smart,  direct and probably the one who could see through his colours…

Its interesting to note how the girls are from different parts of the world..and how to me…felt tt their character could possible fit into the country they are in…

With 4 different scenerios…4 different kinds of girls and phases in life..you could perhaps relate in some pt of time to 1 another…

Essentially it boils down to the fact of the guy’s commitment… each time he felt tt there was a certain level of commitment…he runs away (as brought out by his girls)… mia for 3 - 15 yrs with no level of contact…. yet as he come back now trying to make ammends and apologizing..it was too late…

As one of the girls pointed out… "there are consequences to our actions…people get hurt as a result"… all  4 girls were hurt and affected in some way…

As different as they may be…Sweet nothings and empty promises of the future deluded all 4 of them…Yet all 4 of them  ever wanted was the same thing…was that they mattered and not just Some Girl(s)…and perhaps..that is true to mani of us…

An Excuse to Party? is about three girl friends whose New Year’s Eve does not quite turn out the way they planned. Made up of three couple stories which intertwine, we have:

-    The rich, spoilt girl locked in the dingy toilet of a petrol station. Her rescuer, a mechanic, offers an indecent proposal to get her out.
-    The depressed lawyer held hostage by a gay robber at a convenience store. A strange but not uneasy relationship ensues where both clothes and stereotypes are stripped.
-    The fun-loving singer who goes to great lengths to break up with her Pastor-to-be boyfriend including crashing his car.

A comedy that satires materialism, stereotyping and emotional intimacy vs. physical intimacy. Underlying comedy, the production is also a timely reminder about the realities of life, such as the ‘jadedness’ of those in the fast track.

An Excuse to Party? isn’t social commentary but a gleeful overturning of expectations and values we take for granted. Naughty but nice.

in ‘how-to,’ she will find it a horror story bathed in truth.”

*Yummy* Cupcakes…still miss thoese I ate in Zouk Anniversery with the creamy fillings on the top… Found another website called CCup Luxury Gourmet… filled with pretty pretty cupcakes…Awaiting for my Cupcake pool party…Gotta start planning & ordering soon…

Tears

there are many types of tears…

the kind that come from deep within
the kind that come from after a death
or after losing your one and only true love

the ones that come after the piercing scream
the ones that come in the darkness through shivers

there are tears of joy
the kind that come after the first breathe of a baby
the kind a mother cries when she holds her baby for the first time
the kind that come when a military man comes home
and his wife runs into his arms

Haha…I look like Kangta…and alot of jap/korean stars…interesting..did another test again…

Ya a high % of both analysis did say I look like Mariam and for this one is slightly different..I look like Zhang Ziyi, Fukada,Penelop,Boa and even Portia…Interesting…so different personalities and looks amongst all these stars…

Once again..came Mariam Yeung..and also Shu Qi, Boa..now even Fiona Xie! Interesting..

My other cousin just got married a few weeks back.. Though tiring (from signing of cert event to church to dinner), it was a joyous and happy day… With well wishes from friends and family members.. and graced by special performances from us.. the cousins.. of being the chior band during the church service to a well known song "Cant smile without you" performance.

A perfect couple. A match made in heaven.

Spent last saturday with michelle n yiwen…with music the whole day..

1st stop was to satisfy our hunger with cold and yet good chicken rice at bishan…followed by ktv @ Bishan CC Partworld in the afternoon… with good system, not too bad food and of course the 3 of us.. the 4 hours was well spent singing to our hearts content & checking out "hot" babes such as Jolin MTV… Heard a cute song from her.. Mr Q…

Went to Bugis and eat our favourite taiwan lailai beef noodle with bubble tea…*yummy*..Proceed just in time for timbre..whoese space was filling up pretty quickly..cause both EIC and Ngak was taking turns to jam tt nite..and when they said taking turns..it literally mean no time was spent for breaks!.. 4 sets in total from these 2 cool bands..

Had our usual pizza..where clarance,terrence and their 2 frenz joined us at later part of the day… Happy moment of tt nite: Jack from EIC actually smiled at me when I took his photo! haha… damn cute.. too bad the photo was a bit dark.. talented too..

1st time hearing Ngak jamming.. didnt find Ngak cute.. but got to say he is good.. real good.. sang alot of my favourite songs.. which I took a video of a selected few songs! (hehe..will upload to you tube when I have the time)  Check out timbre website & realize he could be quite cute without his beard..but then still not my type.. very much prefer Jack from EIC…

Guys, Think about it, If a girl cries her heart out to u, And all because of u, Its time to look back on wat u have done, Only u will know the answer to it. Do consider it, Coz one day, It may b too late for regrets, It may b too late to say "im sorry"…

Don’t always think u are right all the times, think carefully, everyone has a responsible for everything that they did, she may did wrong but who makes her do wrong?

A girl always need protection;

A girl always need care;

A girl always need someone beside her to comfort her when she’s sad;

A girl always need support that came from the guy that she loves when she’s down, not from the friends who are always beside her.

Guys, don be too demanding. It will cause you to lose a girl that you love the most in your life."
